Thursday, June 14, 2018 - Fundraiser for Matt Koleszar

When:  6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Where:  The home of State Rep Christine and Chef Bob Greig, 21031 Eastfarm Lane Ct in Northville

If you missed the Plymouth fundraiser for Matt, or had so much fun you'd like to do it again, please head over to Northville.  The Greigs really know how to throw a party, and we need to get Matt elected as our State Rep!  

Saturday, June 16, 2018 - Senator Gary Peters Community Conversation

When:  10 am

Where:  Eastern Michigan University Student Center Auditorium, 900 Oakwood Street in Ypsi

U.S. Senator Gary Peters is holding four community meetings across Michigan in the coming weeks to provide additional opportunities to hear from constituents. The events are open to the public, and casework staff from Senator Peters’ office will be available to meet with constituents who need help dealing with federal programs and agencies such as Medicare, Social Security, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the IRS.

Thursday, June 28, 2018 - PDC Trivia Night

When:  Gather by 7:15 pm, Trivia begins at 7:30

Where:  Station 885, 885 Starkweather in Old Village Plymouth

Mix and mingle with your fellow Plymouth Democrats.  This is our usual 'last Thursday of the month' Trivia Night. Get your thinking cap and beer goggles on and join the PDC Trivia Team!

A table for 15 is reserved for the PDC but we can accommodate more. Participation is free, the more, the merrier!

Saturday, July 14, 2018 - Plymouth Democratic Club Summer Adopt A Road Clean Up

When:  Meet at 10 am

Where:  Riverside Park, on Hines Drive between Haggerty and Wilcox

In your face Scott Pruitt and your environmental destruction agenda!  Our adopted stretch of road extends along Hines Drive between Haggerty Road and Wilcox. Attractive yellow safety vests and plastic gloves will be provided, but you may want to wear some heavy garden gloves and rubber boots. 

Clean-up usually takes about an hour and a half, and most volunteers go to lunch afterward at Leo's Coney Island on Ann Arbor Rd. RSVP or just show up if you are unsure about your schedule in advance.

Tuesday, August 7, 2018 - Primary Election Day in Michigan

Be sure to vote today if you haven't voted absentee!  If you would like to help a particular candidate and would like to get involved, let us know and we will connect you.  

Saturday, August 11, 2018 - 11th District Call to Convention

When:  10:30 am to 1:30 pm 

Where:  25150 Trans X Road in Novi

Purpose:  To elect Members and Alternates of State Convention Committees and to consider resolutions to be forwarded to the State Party. Each District shall be entitled to two Members (one male and one female) and two Alternates (one male and one female) on each of the following committees: Credentials, Rules, and Platform & Resolutions.

NOTE: In order to be elected to a Convention Committee, a person must be member of the Michigan Democratic Party at least thirty (30) days prior to August 25, 2018 or July 26, 2018. Committee members shall be apportioned among various Counties of each District. The Congressional District Chairperson shall have the final responsibility for approving appointments to Convention committees and forwarding such appointments to the Michigan Democratic Party. Care will be taken to ensure that the delegates and alternates in each district are balanced by gender.

Delegates to County and District Conventions shall be the Precinct Delegates who were duly elected at the Primary Election held August 7, 2018, the nominees for County and Legislative Office as set forth in Party Rules, and members of the Michigan Democratic Party whose membership was renewed at least thirty (30) days prior to the County/District Convention. 

Persons whose memberships are current as of July 12, 2018 but which expire before August 11, 2018 are eligible to vote if they renew on or before August 11, 2018. Precinct Delegates, Democratic elected officials and Democratic nominees to partisan offices may become members that day when they register at the County and District Conventions. 

Saturday, August 11, 2018 - PDC Summer Picnic Brunch in the Park

You will be hungry after the 11th District Convention. Please save the date to get your summer party on and help save our democracy!  This event will run from approximately 11 am to 2 pm, details TBA.  

Saturday, August 25 and Sunday, August 26, 2018 - Michigan Democratic Party Nominating Convention

Where:  Breslin Center, East Lansing Michigan

Save the dates.  Join us to support Dana Nessel for MI Attorney General and all of the other fabulous candidates at the official MDP Nominating Convention!  If you'd like to volunteer on Team Dana, let us know. 

The Nominating Convention takes place in the fall of each even numbered year. Exists to nominate candidates for certain statewide office (Attorney General, Secretary of State, State Supreme Court, State Education Boards, University Boards of the University of Michigan, Michigan State, and Wayne State.)
You must be a member of the MDP to vote at this convention.  If you are not sure whether your membership is active email
