When:  6:30 pm

Please join us for a great evening of bowling fun, Lebowski laughs and of course beer! Bowling and costume prizes will be awarded. For you newbie bowlers and folks with really bad aim, we will have bumpers up on several lanes.

Please arrive at the alley at 6:30 pm and bowling will begin at 7:00 pm. A special trophy will be awarded to the winning team! Please RSVP by May 1st as we have to confirm with the alley the number of lanes we need. Reply to this email or to Mary Bartek

Sunday, May 7, 2017 - Fleece Blanket-Making For Veterans Event

When:  2:00 pm

Where:  The Plymouth District Library, 223 S Main Street in Downtown Plymouth

Please join us as we host a fleece blanket-making event in the Dunning room at the Plymouth District Library. These blankets will be donated to the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit. The Volunteer Service Department is thrilled we are making these blankets for the veterans and we are too!

It’s a fun and easy project and we will have several people there to show you how it’s done. If you can, please bring two coordinating pieces of fleece (length 52 inches) to make your blanket. A HUGE thank you to Lee Jasinski, Marty Friedburg , Beth Dugdale, Mary Barr and Brad Flynn for donating over $250 towards the purchase of fleece for this event.

Thursday, May 18, 2017 - Plymouth Democratic Club May Meeting

When:  6:30 pm

Where:  The Plymouth District Library, 223 S Main Street in Downtown Plymouth

PDC Action Groups will get together to plan next steps.  Come and join the conversation.

PDC t-shirts and lawn signs will be available at the meeting.

PDC's famous After Party, Drinking Liberally, will be held at 9 pm, following the meeting.  Location TBA. Raise your spirits as you raise your glass, enjoy refreshments and more political discussion with your fellow Democrats. While drinking liberally, always remember to drink responsibly, and make liberal use of designated drivers.  Drinking and driving is reckless and irresponsible, like Muslim travel bans, dismantling health care, and erasing scientific data from government websites...(we could go on and on)

A two hour extravaganza bringing together community activism and service groups from across the state of Michigan with a shared goal: Helping to empower and connect people to their place in today's movements.

The Plymouth and Canton Democratic Clubs will be Relaying this Saturday May 20th at Heritage Park to raise money to support the American Cancer Society and we need your help!  YOUR participation will make the ACS's  lifesaving research possible and will help find a cure for this devastating disease!

Here are ways you can help:
1)  Bake cookies, bars or cupcakes for our club to sell in our booth (these can be dropped off Friday at Mary Bartek's house or at the Relay on Saturday)  Our booth is right behind the library parking lot (Booth #39)
2)  Volunteer to work in our booth for an hour or two
3)  Walk in support of our club - any time slot that works in your schedule
4)  Help with tear-down of the tent at the end of the event (around 10:30 pm)
5)  Purchase a luminary in honor of or memory of someone you know who is or has battled cancer.  These will be available at our meeting on Thursday and also at our booth on the day of Relay.
6)  Donate money to our team through-, our Team name is Canton & Plymouth Democratic Clubs

If you can help out with any of these needs or if you have any questions, please contact Mary Bartek at or Denise Smith at
